At Holbrook we aim to match support to each child’s individual needs, and we promise to do the following for all children with special educational needs or disabilities:
- Holbrook students with SEN/D will have their needs met
- These will be met within the mainstream classroom wherever possible with quality, differentiated teaching and support
- We will take into account the views of your child and work with parents for a student-centred approach
- All our students will be offered full access to a broad, balanced and relevant education with an appropriate curriculum in a nurturing environment.
We currently support students with dyslexia, autism, Asperger’s syndrome, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, moderate learning difficulties, physical disabilities and speech, language and communication needs, as well as students with behaviour, emotional and social needs.
We regularly review the role of our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and evaluate all provision within the Academy ensuring that students’ needs are met.
Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) is Mrs Kathryn Darby.
If you have any concerns, questions or worries please do get in touch and we will be happy to help.
