Attendance Officer
Closing date: Friday 26th May 2023
Permanent – 37 hours per week / 39 weeks per year
Grade 4, Point 9 – £20,419 (actual salary)
We are looking for an experienced Attendance Officer to join the team at the Academy.
The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient student support services focusing on attendance and punctuality. The skills required for the role include excellent communication, organisational and ICT skills as well as being able to welcome and see to all visitors in a calm, efficient and professional manner.
Duties will include:-
- Completing attendance registers in line with statutory and Academy guidelines
- Responsibility for all aspects of attendance including incoming and outgoing telephone calls relating to follow up absence
- Working with parents/carers and the Pastoral team, under the guidance of the Assistant Headteacher – Pastoral, regarding poor attendance
- Producing attendance data
- Monitoring any unauthorised absences
- Supporting the Pastoral team in communicating with families to ensure understanding around the importance of attendance and punctuality
- Supporting in the main office with any other administration duties including photocopying, collating, record keeping
Ideally, you will have experience of working in a school setting and be proficient in Word, Excel and databases. The ability to prioritise and work efficiently and accurately in a busy environment is essential. The role includes communicating with parents/carers in a caring manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Science Teacher

Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a full-time motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our hardworking and friendly team to support students with their learning and behaviour needs. The position will involve working with individual students and small groups of students across all curriculum areas.
Hours to be worked will be between 8.15am – 3.30pm.
You will need to have a minimum grade 4/5 (equivalent C) for English and Maths.
Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting is preferable.

Examination Invigilators
Closing date: Wednesday 26th April 2023
Required immediately to assist the Examination Officer in the running and supervision of internal and external examinations.
Hours will be offered on an ad hoc basis, primarily in December, May and June. Ideally, applicants should be available for at least 5 morning or afternoon sessions a week. Sessions are potentially 8.30am-12.15pm and 1pm-4.45pm.
The successful candidates will:
- have experience in basic administration
- be reliable and punctual
- demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- work well as a team as well has have the initiative and confidence to work on their own
- possess good communication skills
- be able to follow instructions and work within a strict set of regulations
- work with calmness and flexibility.
Full training will be given.
Pay – £11.77 per hour (including holiday pay)
