We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified and inspirational teacher to join our very strong department.  The successful applicant will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 across the full age and ability range, providing high quality teaching that motivates all students to achieve their potential in Maths.

You will join an experienced Maths team who work collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for our students.

The ability to offer an extra-curricular subject or activity to contribute to our enrichment programme would be advantageous.

Science Teacher

We are looking for an inspirational Teacher of KS3 and KS4 Science.

Candidates with a general Science background should consider applying and those with a specific Biology qualification will have an advantage. The position would suit an experienced candidate or an ECT.

Geography Teacher (Maternity Cover – 0.5)

Office Admin Assistant

Closing date: Friday 3rd May 2024

Required immediately.

We are looking to appoint an Admin Assistant for 25 hours per week in the first instance, increasing to 37 hours from September 2024.

Hours of work will be 8.00am to 1.00pm, Monday to Friday (8.00am to 4.00pm from September).  This appointment is term time only plus 5 PD Days.

You will need:

  • English and Maths (GCSE level pass or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills together with the ability to establish positive relationships with students and parents/carers
  • Experience of Google, Office, etc
  • Personal and professional commitment to the ethos and aims of the Academy
  • To be an effective team player.

Knowledge of the SIMS system or similar management information system would be advantageous as would previous experience within a school environment.

Teaching Assistant

Closing date: Wednesday 31st January 2024

33 hours per week 

Point 4 – £23,114 (33 hours / 38 weeks) (Actual salary £17,051)

Required as soon as possible

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly team to support students with their learning and behaviour needs. The position involves  working with individual students and small groups of students across all curriculum areas.

Hours to be worked will be between 8.15am – 3.30pm.

You will need to have a minimum grade C for English and Maths.

Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting is preferable.

Examination Invigilators

Closing date: Monday 11th March 2024

Required immediately to assist the Examination Officer in the running and supervision of internal and external examinations.

Hours will be offered on an ad hoc basis, primarily in December, May and June. Ideally, applicants should be available for at least 5 morning or afternoon sessions a week. Sessions are potentially 8.30am-12.15pm and 1pm-4.45pm.

The successful candidates will:

  • have experience in basic administration
  • be reliable and punctual
  • demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • work well as a team as well has have the initiative and confidence to work on their own
  • possess good communication skills
  • be able to follow instructions and work within a strict set of regulations
  • work with calmness and flexibility.

Full training will be given.

Pay – £11.50 per hour (plus holiday pay)
