We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated teacher to join the well-established English team. The department prides itself on being welcoming, supportive and willing to go the extra-mile for our students.

The successful candidate will teach across the age and ability range (Key Stages 3 and 4). The position would suit an experienced candidate or a newly qualified teacher.  Knowledge of AQA English Language and Literature is desirable.

Finance Manager

Closing date: Wednesday 9th June 2021

  • £32,910 – £39,759 pro rata
  • Term time plus 4 weeks.
  • Required from September 2021.

We wish to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to effectively manage all aspects of the Academy’s finances in a rigorous and efficient manner on a day to day basis from September 2021.

You will have extensive experience of:

  • financial management and budgetary control
  • the use of financial and budgeting software systems and the preparation of financial reports
  • financial reporting to Governors, the Headteacher and leadership team,
  • strategic financial planning
  • ensuring that financial standards are complied with in line with current legislation and requirements of the ESFA, Companies House, Charities Commission, HM Customs and Excise and other organisations as required
  • management of the financial aspects of capital projects
  • the use of Microsoft office applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • effective prioritisation of their workload and an ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.

It would be hugely advantageous if the applicant had relevant Academy finance experience with SIMS FMS, accounting qualification (AAT, CIMA, CIPFA etc) and an understanding of sound financial practices.  Excellent communication skills are essential.

Science Technician

Closing date: Friday 25th June 2021

Point 9 : £20,903 per annum pro rata (£17,744 actual)

We require an experienced Technician to support our Science department, working 37 hours per week, term time only.

The successful applicant will be required to prepare equipment and materials for lessons, ensure the safe storage and use of laboratory equipment and the safe disposal of chemicals in line with health and safety regulations, to update display boards around the department and to stay up to date with CLEAPS guidance. Previous experience in an educational environment is essential as there is no other technician support.
