GCSE RESULTS 2019
Well done to all students on their examination results. We are delighted that 70% of students in Year 11 achieved grade 4 or above in both English and maths; an increase of 4% from last year. There are so many individual success stories and it was fantastic to see the smiling faces of students who opened up their envelopes and saw that their hard work had paid off. They can now confidently access their next steps in post-16 education or training.
We are proud of all of our students who worked incredibly hard at a difficult time for us. Headteacher, Dr Letman, who sadly died a few weeks before the exams started, had every confidence in the year group and he would have enjoyed celebrating with the students.

OFSTED INSPECTION – 26 February 2019
We are proud and delighted to report that Ofsted has recently judged that the Academy has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection in 2015. Inspectors particularly commended the quality of pupils’ progress and attainment across the curriculum and leaders’ clear vision for the future. We were also praised for our strong sense of moral purpose and our commitment to the success of all pupils. The full report is available here:-

2018 GCSE RESULTS
We are pleased to report another strong set of GCSE results. 66% of this year’s cohort of 61 students achieved at least a grade 4 in both English and maths and there were a number of exceptional individual performances in what the government has described as the toughest ever GCSE papers. Just as pleasingly, when confirmed nationally, we expect our student progress outcomes (Progress 8) to be as strong as in recent years. Many congratulations are due to our exceptional students and teachers.

PARKING AROUND THE ACADEMY
A number of complaints have been received by Holbrook Parish Council regarding dangerous and inconsiderate parking in Clench Road and on Ipswich Road at the start and end of the school day. Local residents are mainly concerned about the blocking of their driveways and where drivers are parking partially on the pavement near the tight bend opposite Berners Field, forcing other road users into the centre of the road.
We would be grateful if parents/carers could be aware of these concerns and, in the interests of safety, avoid such practices in the future.
A reminder for students and parents/carers can be found here:-
