Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) provides additional funding for children from low-income families, service families, or those in care for six months or more, helping them achieve on par with their peers.
At Holbrook Academy, PPG is used for tailored support, including classroom help,
Enrichment opportunities, and confidence-building activities. Students are supported sensitively and never identified in class.
Key Barriers Addressed:
- Literacy difficulties
- Social, emotional, and mental health challenges
- Low attendance
- Limited access to enriching experiences
Aims:
- Improve literacy, numeracy, behaviour, and self-regulation
- Raise attendance to 94%+
- Broaden curriculum and access to wider opportunities
