We are looking to appoint a First Aid and Reprographics Assistant for 31.25 hours per week.
Hours of work will be 9.00am to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday, based in the reception area of the Dr Letman Centre. This appointment is term time only plus 5 PD Days.
As First Aid Assistant, you will provide care to students and staff, supervise unwell or injured students. You will evaluate the illness or injury, treat the patient if possible, and determine if it is necessary to call the students parent/carer to take them home or seek further medical advice. First Aiders in the main office will provide support as and when necessary.
As Reprographics Assistant, you will provide a high standard of reprographic support to staff and students.
You will need:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills together with the ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff and parents/carers
- To be able to multi-task and prioritise workload
- A good level of literacy and numeracy
- Experience of Google, Office, etc
- Personal and professional commitment to the ethos and aims of the Academy
- To be an effective team player.
A knowledge of first aid would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided. Knowledge of the SIMS system or similar management information system would be useful as would previous experience of working within a school environment.
