Our lively Parent Forum meets once each half term, usually on a Wednesday evening and is a really enjoyable way to meet other parents and to chat through ideas and suggestions. There’s usually an informative presentation on key changes to the school or to education nationally so that parents feel up-to-date and involved in things which might affect their child, and then discussion in groups on other topics, such as uniform or school trips.
We have a planning group of parents who meet with Headteacher, Dr Letman, a fortnight before the meeting to make sure the agenda reflects the concerns of parents and to feedback on current issues and ideas, and we have an email address for any parent to use to suggest ideas for discussion – firstname.lastname@example.org
Here are some of the recent presentations and the feedback and actions the school has taken forward. After each forum Dr Letman writes to all parents to let them know what happened and what the school will be doing with those views.
